Campbell Veterans Memorial Pours Ahead

The Campbell Veterans Memorial site outside of City Hall is alive with activity once more as the project moves forward.

On April 27, construction at the picked up again, with cement being poured and dignitaries, including Mayor Mike Kotowski on hand to see this next step in the construction of the memorial take place.

"It was one small step for Man and one Giant Leap for the Foundation," Campbell Veterans Memorial Foundation former president Jim Free says.

Free says that the event went well, without any major problems.

"It's a small step, but we needed to get at least this part of the memorial in place and this will hopefully spawn more interest in what we're doing here and help us along  to start and complete "Phase Two," which at this point is the goal to complete the entire memorial project itself," he says.
