Campbell Veterans Memorial Hits Another Milestone

The memorial set to complete the first phase of construction Nov. 11 was just given the green light.

The is getting closer to its goal of dedicating the first phase of construction on Nov. 11 with building permits signed and taken care of.

"We've been working toward this moment for at this point and there were we had to deal with," says Campbell Veterans Memorial Foundation President Jim Free. "But with the collective minds of a lot of talented people from the city of Campbell, Artick Art and Architecture, TBI Construction, the board members and professional advisers of the CVMF Foundation, we made it happen."

Project Manager Scott Holland from TBI Construction met with Campbell Senior Civil Engineer Fred Ho last week and took the project to its next step.

Campbell Veterans Memorial Foundation President captured the moment with a photo.

"We're looking forward to dedicating Phase One as planned on Veterans Day, November 11, 2011 - (11-11-11)," Free says.

The event will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. at the site of the Memorial next to City Hall and should be over by 11:30 a.m.

Dr. Fran Harvey, former Secretary of the Army will be the Keynote speaker and Dan Furtado with be the M/C. 

"We hope all can attend," Free says. "It's going to be a nice event."
