Campbell Police Talk About Stranger Danger

The series of workshops take place every second Saturday in January, February, March and April.

The first in a series of safety workshops aimed at local parents attracted about 50 parents and children last month.

Campbell Patch Mom Squad, in partnership with Campbell Patch and the Campbell Library held it's "Stranger Danger" workshop in January with officers from the Campbell Police speaking about what a stranger looks like, what to do if a stranger approaches you, what to do if you get lost and, the question that stumped even the police how do you know if the police officer is a real officer.

"It's someone other than us telling them the danger of going with people other than us," says Avery Brown, who drove to the event from Sunnyvale.

For Kristin Gippetti, the event was an opportunity to ask questions and offer her kids a chance to see officers in uniform.
