A Building with Many Pasts

The Campbell Fire Station 1 has a long history in the city.

This week's Campbell history photo has many stories behind it and, hopefully, many more ahead of it.

The Campbell Fire Station 1 was built in 1951 at 51 North Central Avenue.  When the City of Campbell incorporated on March 28, 1952 this building doubled as the first City Hall, housing the Police Department, Public Works, and the City Clerk as well as the Fire Department. 

The building is now the . The image shows the firehouse as seen from the Central Avenue side with the garage doors the focus of the image and is dated March 1981.
