Campbell MOPS: Mothers of Preschoolers

All mothers need the love and support of friends! Campbell MOPS meets the needs of mothers with young children, providing connection, encouragement, as well as lots of fun.

What is a MOPS group, anyway?

MOPS International is a world-wide organization dedicated to encouraging and empowering mothers of young children, from infancy through kindergarten. Groups meet all over the world - here in the Silicon Valley there are several - with membership ranging from small to several hundred!

Here in Campbell, our local MOPS group has about 20-25 moms who meet monthly every second Wednesday. Meetings always include a hot breakfast brought by other members of the group on a rotating basis. Guest speakers share on a variety of topics; from keeping and creating family traditions, to a special Valentine's Day speaker, Emily Nelson, who's going to be talking to the moms about "Sex! It's the Gift That Keeps on Giving!"

Campbell MOPS also involves "Mentor Moms," older women who have raised their kids and have a special empathy for the struggles and needs of young mothers. These women join the meetings to advise and encourage other members.

In addition to monthly meetings, Campbell MOPS enjoys monthly play dates, hosted by a MOPS member or at a local park, Mom's Night Out, and joins other women at Unfinished Objects, a group of knitters and crafters that meets monthly on the last Thursday from 6:30-10:00 p.m.
