  • David Tovar, 38, of Gilroy, July 25, 8:45 p.m., at Travel Park Circle and Monterey Street in Gilroy, for misdemeanor using/being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail set at $10,000.
  • James Jones, 40, of Gilroy, July 25, 10:30 p.m., at Travel Park Circle and Monterey Street in Gilroy, for misdemeanor driving while unlicensed, using/being under the influence of a controlled substance and felony possession of narcotics/controlled substance. Bail set at $20,000.
  • Scott Overpeck, 49, of San Martin, July 26, 9:20 a.m., at the Santa Clara County Superior Court building, 190 W. Hedding St. in San Jose, for felony possession of marijuana/hash for sale.
  • John Kroupa, 42, of Sacramento, July 26, 12:50 p.m., at Bollinger Road and DeAnza Boulevard in Cupertino, for felony possession of controlled substance, narcotics and misdemeanor possession of narcotics paraphernalia. Bail set at $21,000.
  • Jennifer Brown, 43, of San Martin, July 26, 2:30 p.m., on Dana Avenue in Morgan Hill, for misdemeanor using/being under the influence of a controlled substance.
  • Tina Guevara Callman, 61, of Palo Alto, July 26, 3:20 p.m., at the Santa Clara County Superior Courthouse in Palo Alto, 270 Grant Ave., for misdemeanor possession of controlled substance and using/being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail set at $20,000.

Welfare Fraud

  • Noe Camacho, 34, of San Martin, July 26, 10 a.m., at the Santa Clara County Superior Court building, 190 W. Hedding St. in San Jose, for misdemeanor giving false name to peace officer and felony possession of controlled substance, obtaining some form of government aid fraudulently.

  • David Perdomo, 22, of Santa Rosa, July 25, 11 p.m., at 10123 No. Wolfe Rd. in Cupertino, for felony identity theft and using false citizenship/documents. Bail set at $35,000.

Robbery/Assault With Deadly Weapon

  • Jesus Perez, 19, of Menlo Park, July 26, 11:35 a.m., at the San Mateo County Jail for felony preventing/dissuading witness victim, assault with deadly weapon/firearm, second-degree robbery. Bail set at $1 million.

Domestic Violence

  • Richard Gillete, 20, of San Francisco, July 26, 2:50 p.m., at 12345 El Monte in Los Altos, for misdemeanor battery on former spouse/fiance/cohabitant. Bail set at $10,000.
  • Richard Riggs, 56, of Saratoga, July 27, 10:15 a.m., at Hamilton and Campbell avenues in Campbell, for felony inflicting corporal injury on spouse/cohabitant. Bail set at $25,000.

Exhibiting Deadly Weapon

  • Charlie Guzman, 57, of Los Altos Hills, July 26, 6:20 p.m., at 25750 Elena Rd. in Los Altos, for misdemeanor exhibiting a deadly weapon. Bail set at $5,000.

Vehicle Code Violations

  • John Alldredge, 43, of San Jose, July 24, 2:35 p.m., at Wolfe Road and Vallco Parkway in Cupertino, for a citation for driving without due caution and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked and on a suspended license.
  • Daniel Beltran, 20, of San Juan Bautista, July 27, 4:05 a.m., at Monterey and Luchessa in Gilroy, for misdemeanor driving without a license, infraction for having no insurance, the exhaust system modified to increase noise and not having front license plate. Bail set at $10,000.

DUI

  • Caleb Seaton, 25, of Cupertino, July 27, 3:58 a.m., at Rollingdell and Annette Way in Cupertino, for misdemeanor DUI and driving under the influence. Bail set at $5,000.

Crime on Public Transportation

  • Paul De La Concha Hernan, 20, of San Jose, July 27, 9:30 a.m., at Highway 17 and Bear Creek Road in Los Gatos, for a crime committed on public transportation and misdemeanor giving false name to a peace officer. Bail set at $5,000.
