Q: What is the legal window tint for a car? Does it vary by make and model?

There is no legal window tint for the front three windows (both driver's and passenger's side, as well as the windshield).  It is illegal to put any tint, film, covering, etc. on these windows.  However, it is legal to tint the windows behind the driver as dark as you want as long as you have two side view mirrors.  If you do not have two side view mirrors, you cannot have any tint on your vehicle.
