UPDATE: Campbell PD Say Potential 10th Victim Surfaced in Accused Campbell Nanny Case

Update 4/19, 12:36 p.m.:

"We have a total of 10 victims," said Sgt. Gary Berg. "We are continuing to follow up on leads and interview potential witnesses and victims."

Campbell Police have received about 50-60 tips, which have led to the additional interviews and have aided in identifying the two additional alleged victims since the original arrest.

The man accused of appeared in court April 17, only to have the case moved again.

Originally , the case was pushed to April 17.

"Nothing happened," said Santa Clara Deputy District Attorney Clarissa Hamilton.

The , in conjunction with the San Jose Police Department Child Exploits Team arrested John "Mr. Johnny" Walker, 41, on March 8 on suspicion of child molestation. Walker was arraigned March 13.

According to Hamilton, the only change that happened at the April 17 court hearing was that Walker is no longer being represented by a court-appointed attorney, rather a private attorney: Nelson McElmurray.

The case has been continued to May 15, at Santa Clara County Superior Court, Dept. 23 at 9:30 a.m.

"We still don’t have all the information to the defense attorneys," Hamilton said. "It's going to take a while before anything happens."

She said that the District Attorney anticipates a ninth victim to be added but will continue the interviewing process.

"Whether we decide they are victims or not remains to be seen," Hamilton said. "We are still interviewing people that are coming forward."

Walker has been charged with a total of 14 counts, including:

• Eight counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under the age of 14;
• Two counts of oral copulation of a child under the age of 10;
• One count of possession of child pornography.

"He's looking at 195 years to life for these charges," Hamilton said.
